When a child support order gets entered by a district court a child support report will be sent to the OAG. What that will mean is that your personal information will be sent to the OAG and an account will be sent up so child support payments can be processed. In the OAG’s vernacular, the custodial parent is either called the CP or the obligee, and the noncustodial parent is called the NCP. The CP needs to understand that child support can be paid DIRECTLY into their bank account (if they so request it) OR they can have a sort of debit card where child support is deposited. Of course the CP has the option of receiving child support by check.
Remember that YOU need to be on top of making sure that your child support account is established.
