In Bexar County, family cases are called for hearing by a presiding district judge. Unless specially set, evidentiary matters are set on the 9:00 a.m. docket and assigned to either a sitting or visiting District Judge. Do not presume all cases are set on the 9:00 a.m. docket as there may be nonevidentiary matters that are usually set on the 8:30 a.m. docket. Specific judges may set cases differently, so check with your lawyer a few day’s before court to confirm both the date and time of your hearing!
As of the date this blog was posted the presiding court is located in Room 109 of the Bexar County Courthouse, located on the first floor of the Bexar County Courthouse.
